S.H.I.E.L.D.
A 14-month project with partners in Romania, Greece and Türkiye that trains 20 young leaders to resist disinformation through media literacy and civic leadership.

About the project
S.H.I.E.L.D. is a 14-month cross-border youth project that builds resilience against disinformation and fake news. Through media literacy training, critical thinking development, and civic leadership programs, we empower 20 young leaders to become advocates for truth and democratic values in their communities.
S.H.I.E.L.D. brings together three youth organizations from Romania, Greece, and Turkey to tackle the pressing challenge of disinformation and its impact on democracy, particularly among young people from vulnerable groups.
The project aims to train 20 young leaders (18-30) in media literacy, digital tools, and critical thinking. Participants will learn to identify and counter disinformation, develop fact-checking skills, and create counter-narrative campaigns. Through interactive workshops, creative projects, and practical campaigns, they will gain the skills, confidence, and networks needed to promote informed civic participation and resilience against disinformation and fake news.
The project also strengthens transnational cooperation among youth organizations and creates a sustainable network of active, informed young people committed to fighting disinformation, fake news, extremism, and hate speech.
